Harcus Sinclair was formed in January 2002 when the founding partners left Withers. The founding partners understood that their clients would be better served by a more personal and accessible team. As testament to the founding partners’ legal expertise and approachable style, the client loyalty rate on the creation of Harcus Sinclair exceeded 90%.

Since forming, our practice has grown considerably in size. We have adapted by recruiting a former head of family department at RadcliffesLeBrasseur, a former partner at Speechly Bircham and assistant solicitors from other prestigious City law firms well regarded for their expertise in our principal practice areas.

Our main areas of expertise are tax, trusts and family law. Our partners are each experts in their chosen fields, and are amongst the UK’s leading lawyers in their practice areas. We act in both contentious and non-contentious tax and trust matters. One of the distinctive features of the firm is the close working relationship between the non-contentious private client lawyers and their colleagues in the contentious trust and probate team. The close liaison between the family law and trust and tax departments (both contentious and non-contentious) ensures that our clients’ assets can be protected from any future contentious issues arising.
