Judith is a private client tax and trusts solicitor. She primarily advises both UK-based and international individuals and trustees on UK tax and succession planning. Judith regularly advises in relation to the establishment and administration of trusts (both onshore and offshore), UK landed estate issues, and the preparation of Wills. She also deals with the administration of estates, including complex cross-border estates, and has experience of advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries in contentious circumstances involving Court proceedings.
Judith trained and qualified as a solicitor in Leeds and subsequently worked at a firm in North Yorkshire. Prior to joining Harcus Sinclair in 2017, she worked at a large London firm where, as well as advising trustees and individuals on UK tax and estate administration issues, she worked closely with the firm’s Trust and Succession Disputes team to bring about tax-efficient resolutions to estate disputes. She was made an Associate of Harcus Sinclair in 2018.
Judith studied Modern Languages at the University of Durham, and speaks French and Spanish. She completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, both with distinction, at BPP Law School in Leeds.
Judith is an Affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having recently completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
