Harcus Sinclair upholds position as Leading Firm in The Legal 500

Harcus Sinclair has maintained its ranking as a Leading Firm in the recently published 2018-19 guide. 11 of the firm’s solicitors are recommended in the guide, four of whom are also identified as Leading Individuals in their respective fields.

The firm is ranked in the following areas:

Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate (London: Private Client) – Tier 2

Contentious Trusts and Probate (London: Private Client) – Tier 2

Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate

Keith Bruce-Smith and Lucy Gibson, who lead this “exceptionally able team”, are both recognised as Leading Individuals in their field. Keith and Lucy also feature in The Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’ for being consistently recognised as leaders in their field by The Legal 500 over the last 10 years. Keith and Lucy are described as being “well-assisted” by Associates Eleanor Walsh and Judith Robertson.

The department is commended for its “deep experience and expertise in complex, multi-jurisdictional planning and litigation.

Lucy Gibson is described as being “extremely impressive” and having a “keen intelligence and excellent judgement that has been built on deep experience and a practical approach to solving difficult problems”. Sources define Lucy as “experienced, knowledgeable and can juggle the complexities of various legal systems masterfully”.

Contentious Trusts and Probate

Both Damon Parker and the “fantastic” Alison Meek (who also feature in The Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’) have been ranked as Leading Individuals again in this area.

Jon Beresford is highlighted as being one of the team’s “key figures”. Henry Hickman, who is also a litigation partner, is said to have “particular experience advising trustees in the context of divorce proceedings and for beneficiaries in their interests under trusts when there is a dispute”.
